I learned something about my husband the other day.

He's not "over it."

And by "it" I mean the people. The people who weren't there. Who we thought would be there.

He told me that an old friend had caught him on facebook chat. They chatted for a bit back and forth, nothing serious, and ended it with "we should get our families together soon."
He told me he just wanted to say no. No, we don't want to get together with you. Because of all people, you should have been there, and nearing 2 years later you haven't been. Not even a word, and they know, oh yes they know.

I thought about it for a long time and the conclusion I came to is just this:
We would have been there for you.
